Uncle Fred in Huntsville, AL sent me a tree face for my birthday. It’s become one of my favorite yard ornaments. Thank you, Fred! Since we don’t actually have any trees to speak of, the tree face now adorns part of the privacy fence. Gradually during the summer, as the morning glories grow, they hide the tree face, which is revealed again in the early fall. Impatiens are below the tree face. July 11, 2006.

Two were Roy and Ziggy, who seemed to most enjoy their escapes, when they could be spotted grazing on neighborhood lawns until Penelope Puppy’s barking alerted people to their presence, and the gig was up.
